CH32V006 Prototyping Hexpansion base
£5.00
One breakout board hexpansion (v2), hand-assembled with a CH32V006 microcontroller, power and status LEDs, and I2C pull-up resistors.
Requires a Tildagon or Spaceagon badge, not included.
There is no EEPROM, but the firmware can emulate a read-only header for identification.
This board was designed for prototyping LED matrices using charlieplexing directly on the microcontroller's GPIO pins. Example firmware using the ch32fun framework and example boards and KiCad symbols are available.
The board provides 33 breakout pads (for the hexpansion connector and all microcontroller GPIO pins) designed for a daughter board to "sandwich" onto.
It also has separate debug pads for power, I2C, and the PD1/SWIO programming pin to use with a WCH-LinkE USB debugger (not included).
The processor is pre-programmed with a bootloader so it can also be flashed from the "Matrix Hexpansion" badge app without additional hardware.
